Merhum hocalardan Himmet Efendi’nin oğlu olan Yahya Vehbi Efendi rûmî
1297 senesinde (1881-82) Uşak’ta doğmuştur.
İlk tahsilini Uşak ibtidai mektebinde tamamlayarak aynı yerde medreseye
girip Arapça tahsil etmiştir. 1315 senesinden 1317’ye kadar (1898-1900 arası ) Çal
medresesinde tahsil görmüştür. Sonra Der-saˁâdet’e gelip 1326 mâlî senesinde (1910)
Medresetü’l-kuzât’a başlayarak 1330 (1914) senesinde şehadetname almaya hak
kazanmıştır. Fatih ders-iˁâmlarından Sultanyerli Hüseyin Efendi’den icâzet aldığı
gibi Medresetü’I -Kudât’a girip 33 yaşında olmasına rağmen 1330’da şeha detname
Vehbi Efendi Medresetü’l-kuzâtdan 1332 tarihinde aˁlâ derece ile mezun olmuştur.
Nazimiye kazası Kâdîlığına tayin edilmiş ve 30 Mayıs 1331’de bu görevden ayrılıp 8
Temmuz 1331’de Yalvaç kazası Kâdîsı olmuştur. Yalvaç Kâdîsı iken 19 Mart
1335/1919’da vefat etmiştir.734
