Life and register readings
Mehmed Mecid Bey was born in Edirne in 1873/74 (AH 1290); the father's occupation was "Edirne Rüsumat Nezareti başkâtibi". At about 16, in 1889/90, Mehmed Mecid began work in Edirne.
