Life and register readings
The life of Mehmed Sadık Efendi began in Mecca (Mekke) in 1871/72 (AH 1288); the father's occupation was "Hicaz Vilayeti Meclis-i İdaresi kâtip muavini". The annual lists begin in 1885/86, with Mehmed Sadık as Muhasebe Kalemi mülazımı and no place named. At the same time, from 1893 to 1909, the lists also place Mehmed Sadık in Jeddah (Cidde) as Mukayyit refiki. The last entries, from 1909 to 1911, name Mehmed Sadık as Merkez mukayyitliği refik-i sânisi, with no place.
