Life and register readings
The life of Nureddin Efendi began in Ürgüp in 1856/57 (AH 1273). Work began in 1875/76, at about 18. The annual lists begin in 1875/76, with Nureddin as Telgraf Mektebi mülazımı and no place named. Alongside, the lists for 1877 to 1880 give a second post, in Edirne as Telgrafhane muhabere memuru. At the same time, from 1879 to 1883, the lists also place Nureddin in Kayseri as Telgrafhane muhabere memuru. Alongside, the lists for 1882/83 give a second post, in Zagra as Telgrafhane muhabere memuru.
The salary never rose above the first in the lists, 400 kuruş a month in 1877/78, in Edirne, when 43 per cent of paid officials earned less. The last annual entry is for 1882/83.
