Life and register readings
Ömer Faruk Efendi was born in Çorum in 1886/87 (AH 1304); the father was a lieutenant or candidate official (mülazım). The first annual entry, for 1907/08, places Ömer Faruk in İskilip in the Ziraat Bankası muhasebe kalemi, where the entries run to 1909/10. At the same time, from 1909/10, the lists also place Ömer Faruk in Çorum as Ziraat Bankası memuru.
