Officials first recorded in 1907/08 (AH 1325)

In 1907/08 (AH 1325) the collection records 738 officials; for 157 of them it is the first annual entry. The first annual entry is not the year of hiring: the personnel record gives the year of first work in a separate field. For 117 of the 157 that year is earlier. See How to read the records.

The first entries are in 71 places; Istanbul (Dersaadet) has 44 of them, Beyoğlu 10 and Thessaloniki (Selanik) 7. The most frequent job titles are Muhabere Memuru (101), Muhaberat-ı Ecnebiye Memuriyeti (16) and Posta Memuru (6). The median salary in 1907/08 was 200 kuruş a month, over the 157 with a salary that year.
