Life and register readings
Osman Nuri Efendi was born in Istanbul in 1859/60 (AH 1276). Work began in 1890/91, at about 31. The first annual entry, for 1890/91, names Osman Nuri as Cebeller Kethüda Vekili, with no place. For 1891 to 1893 and 1895 to 1898 the lists have no entry. From 1899 to 1902 the annual entries place Osman Nuri in Istanbul, the birthplace.
