Life and register readings
Mehmed Hayri Bey was born in Pristina (Priştine) in 1862/63 (AH 1279); the father's occupation was "Âlim". The annual lists begin in 1884/85, with Mehmed Hayri as Kosova Vilayeti Gazetesi muharriri and no place named. At the same time, from 1887 to 1890, the lists also place Mehmed Hayri in Serres (Siroz) as Siroz Mülkiye İdadisi müdürü. Next came Eskişehir from 1890 to 1895. Alongside, the lists for 1890 to 1895 give a second post, in a post with no place named as Açığa çıkarılma. Alongside, the lists for 1894/95 give a second post, in Vlorë as Avlonya kaymakamı. Mehmed Hayri then moved to Servia (Serfiçe), Lemnos (Limni) and Genç from 1901 to 1909. The last post was in Shkodër (İşkodra) in 1911/12.
