Life and register readings
The life of İsmail Fehmi Efendi began in Bigadiç in 1856/57 (AH 1273). Work began in Bigadiç in 1873/74, at about 16. The first annual entry, for 1873/74, places İsmail Fehmi in Bigadiç, the birthplace, as Tahrirat kalemi mülazımı, where the entries run to 1900/01.
