Life and register readings
The life of Mehmet Kadri Efendi began in Çorum in 1861/62 (AH 1278); the father's occupation was "Askerî miralay". Work began in Çorum in 1875/76, at about 14. The annual lists begin in 1875/76, with Mehmet Kadri as Mal ve Yazı İşleri Kalemi stajyeri in Çorum, the birthplace, where the entries run to 1887/88. For 1878 to 1884 the lists have no entry. Alongside, the lists for 1887 to 1892 give a second post, in Trabzon as Tapu Dairesi başkâtibi. At the same time, from 1891/92, the lists also place Mehmet Kadri in Burdur as Tapu memuru. The last post was in Istanbul in 1892/93.
