Life and register readings
Kemal Efendi was born in Istanbul in 1876/77 (AH 1293); the father's occupation was "Maliye Hazinesi Varidat Muhasebesi kâtibi". At about 21, in 1897/98, Kemal began work. The annual lists begin in 1897/98, with Kemal as Ebniye-i Seniyye Anbarı görevlisi and no place named. The lists give Infisal for 1909/10 instead of a title.
