The life
Hüseyin Hüsnü Paşa was born in Istanbul (Dersaadet) in 1839/40 (AH 1255). The father’s occupation was Padişah maiyetinde görev yapmış emekli asker. Schooling included Mühendishâne-i Berrî-i Hümâyun İdâdîsi; Paris idâdîsi; Sensper (?) Harbiye Mektebi; Erkân-ı Harbiye Mektebi. The language repertoire included French and Turkish. [source]
