Life and register readings
The life of Muradyan Karabet Efendi began in Çemişgezek in 1852/53 (AH 1269). At about 20, in 1873/74, Muradyan Karabet began work in Trabzon, on a first salary of 100 kuruş. The first annual entry, for 1873/74, places Muradyan Karabet in Trabzon as Trabzon Vilayeti Mektubî Kalemi mübeyyizi, where the entries run to 1884/85. For 1874 to 1876, 1878 to 1883 and 1885 to 1896 the lists have no entry. The annual lists then follow Muradyan Karabet to Canik from 1896 to 1901. The lists have no entry for 1901 to 1903. The last post was in Alexandroupoli (Dedeağaç) in 1909/10. For 1904 to 1909 the lists have no entry. In place of a title the lists give Azil (dismissal) for 1900/01 and Mazuliyet for 1903/04.
