Life and register readings
Mesut Ferdi Efendi was born in Giresun. The schooling was at a school for young children (Sıbyan Mektebi). The annual lists begin in 1868/69 (AH 1285), with Mesut Ferdi as Kolcu and no place named, with a rise to müskirat kolcusu in 1869/70. The lists have no entry for 1871 to 1873. Mesut Ferdi then moved to Giresun in 1874/75. The last entries, from 1876 to 1883, name Mesut Ferdi as ikinci kâtip, with no place. In place of a title the lists give Infisal for 1873/74.
