Life and register readings
The life of Recep Efendi began in Tamzara Karyesi, Karahisar-ı Şarki. The schooling was at a school for young children (Sıbyan Mektebi). Work began in 1889/90 (AH 1307). The annual lists begin in 1889/90, with Recep as a candidate official (Mülazım) and no place named. The lists give Infisal for 1893/94 instead of a title.
