Life and register readings
Born in Tosya in 1878 (AH 1295), Mustafa Lütfi Efendi was the child of a tradesman (esnaf). Work began in Tosya in 1894/95, at about 16. The annual lists begin in 1894/95, with Mustafa Lütfi as Ziraat Bankası Sandığı stajyeri in Tosya, the birthplace, where the entries run to 1902/03. The lists have no entry for 1895 to 1901. Alongside, the lists for 1902 to 1909 give a second post, in Çerkeş as Ziraat Bankası Sandık Kâtibi.
