Life and register readings
Yusuf Ziya Efendi was born in Bosna in 1876/77 (AH 1293). Work began in Ankara in 1891/92, at about 16. The annual lists begin in 1891/92, with Yusuf Ziya as Ankara Vilayeti Telgrafhanesi mülazımı in Ankara, where the entries run to 1903/04. For 1904 to 1906 the lists have no entry. At the same time, from 1903/04, the lists also place Yusuf Ziya in Erzurum as Posta mukayyidi.
