Life and register readings

Born in Bursa in 1873/74 (AH 1290), Osman Remzi Efendi came from the İslam community; the father's occupation was "Sıbyan hocası". Work began in Bursa in 1890/91, at about 17. The first annual entry, for 1890/91, places Osman Remzi in Bursa, the birthplace, as muhâsebe kalemi (mülazemet). At the same time, from 1890 to 1893, the lists also place Osman Remzi in a post with no place named as müzâyede kitâbeti. The lists give İstifa (resignation) for 1894/95 instead of a title.
