Life and register readings
The life of Süleyman Sıdkı Efendi began in Haşmane, Dağıstan in 1852/53 (AH 1269). Süleyman Sıdkı began work in 1878, at about 25, on a first salary of 1,000 kuruş. The annual lists begin in 1878, with Süleyman Sıdkı as Nahiye Muduru and no place named. For 1880 to 1882 and 1883 to 1888 the lists have no entry. The lists give Infisal for 1882/83, 1888/89 and 1891/92 instead of a title.
