Life and register readings
The life of Mustafa Nuri Efendi began in Giresun in 1864/65 (AH 1281); the father's occupation was "Terzi". Mustafa Nuri began work in Istanbul in 1891/92, at about 27. The first annual entry, for 1891/92, places Mustafa Nuri in Istanbul as a candidate official (Mülazım). Next came a post with no place named from 1892 to 1899. Alongside, the lists for 1892/93 give a second post, in Darıca as çiroz mubassırı. Mustafa Nuri then moved to Büyükada from 1894 to 1897. Alongside, the lists for 1896/97 give a second post, in Galata as şıra memuru. The last posts were in Istanbul again from 1898 to 1900.
