Life and register readings

Born in Bursa in 1854/55 (AH 1271), İbrahim Edhem Efendi came from the İslam community; the father's occupation was "Sabık-ı Hüdâvendigâr merkez muhâsebecisi". Work began in 1872/73, at about 17. The first annual entry, for 1872/73, names İbrahim Edhem as Hüdâvendigâr vilâyeti muhâsebe kalemi; mülâzemet, with no place, with a rise to Cebel-i garbiye sancağı muhâsebeciliği in 1886/87. The lists have no entry for 1880 to 1882, 1884 to 1886, 1887 to 1890, 1891 to 1893, 1894 to 1896 and 1900 to 1906. From 1906 to 1910 the annual entries place İbrahim Edhem in Trabzon. The lists give Aciga Cikarildi for 1883/84; Infisal for 1890/91 and 1909/10 instead of a title.
