Life and register readings
The life of İshak Sabri Efendi began in Sivas in 1858/59 (AH 1275); the father's occupation was "Dizdar". At about 16, in 1874/75, İshak Sabri began work, on a first salary of 110 kuruş. The annual lists begin in 1874/75, with İshak Sabri as an examining clerk (Mümeyyiz) and no place named, with a rise to Tahrirat kalemi katibi in 1879/80. Next came Suşehri and Pınarbaşı (Aziziye) from 1880 to 1884. The lists have no entry for 1884 to 1886.
