HASAN AZMİ EFENDİ was born in Varna in 1861/62 (AH 1278). The father’s occupation was Varna Telgraf Hatları müfettişi. Schooling included Varna Sıbyan ve Rüşdiye mektepleri. The language repertoire included Rum (as recorded) and Turkish. [1]
