Life and register readings
Mustafa Nazmi Efendi was born in Diyarbakır in 1863/64 (AH 1280), into the İslam community. At about 15, in 1878, Mustafa Nazmi began work. The annual lists begin in 1878, with Mustafa Nazmi as Mektubçu Kalemi mülazımı in Diyarbakır, the birthplace, where the entries run to 1885/86.
