Life and register readings
The life of Osman Efendi began in Kemaliye (Eğin). Osman studied at a school for young children (Sıbyan Mektebi). The annual lists begin in 1884/85 (AH 1302), with Osman as Mukayyid in İskenderun, where the entries run to 1887/88. For 1885 to 1887 and 1888 to 1891 the lists have no entry. The last entries, from 1891 to 1902, name Osman as Muhasebe-i Atika muavini, with no place. In place of a title the lists give Vefat (death) for 1902/03.
