Life and register readings
Mehmed Rakım Efendi was born in Bursa in 1852/53 (AH 1269), into the İslam community. Work began in 1868/69, at about 16. The annual lists begin in 1868/69, with Mehmed Rakım as mektûbî kalemi; mülâzemet and no place named. For 1873 to 1878 and 1881 to 1891 the lists have no entry.
