Life and register readings
The life of İbrahim Selami Efendi began in Kırşehir in 1852/53 (AH 1269). The schooling was at a school for young children (Sıbyan Mektebi). The first annual entry, for 1874/75, places İbrahim Selami in Kırşehir, the birthplace, as arazi tapu kâtibi. The lists have no entry for 1875 to 1877. İbrahim Selami then moved to Ankara from 1878 to 1880, with a rise to yedinci fırka-i seyyare-i tahririye mukayyidi in 1878/79.
