Life and register readings
Süleyman Sırrı Efendi was born in Kars; the father's occupation was "Bezzaz esnafı". The first annual entry, for 1884/85 (AH 1302), names Süleyman Sırrı as Rüsumat Müdürlüğü Ambar Memuru, with no place, with a rise to customs official (Rüsumat Memuru) in 1885/86.
