Life and register readings
Mehmet Muhlis Efendi was born in Sivas in 1879/80 (AH 1297); the father's occupation was "Sivas Vilayeti muhasebe kalemi mümeyyizi". Work began in 1894/95, at about 15. The first annual entry, for 1894/95, places Mehmet Muhlis in Sivas, the birthplace, as Muhasebe kalemi stajyeri. For 1895 to 1900 the lists have no entry. The last post was in Zile in 1902/03.
