Life and register readings
The life of İshak Hakkı Efendi began in Elbistan in 1852/53 (AH 1269). İshak Hakkı began work in Muş in 1869/70, at about 16, on a first salary of 150 kuruş. The annual lists begin in 1869/70, with İshak Hakkı as Tahrirat kalemi mübeyyizi in Muş. Alongside, the lists for 1872 to 1876 give a second post, in Mardin as Tahrirat kalemi mülazımı. The lists have no entry for 1876 to 1878. İshak Hakkı then moved back to Elbistan, the birthplace, from 1878 to 1880. For 1880 to 1883 the lists have no entry. The last entry, for 1883/84, names İshak Hakkı as Vilayet idare meclisi başkâtibi, with no place. The lists give Infisal for 1871/72 and 1875/76; İstifa (resignation) for 1872/73 and 1879/80 instead of a title.
