Life and register readings
Sove Efendi was born in Nevşehir in 1859/60 (AH 1276) into the Hristiyan community; the father was a merchant (tüccar). The schooling was at a Greek Orthodox school (Rum Mektebi).
Sove began work in Nevşehir in 1880/81, at about 21. The first annual entry, for 1880/81, places Sove in Nevşehir, the birthplace, as Maliye kalemi görevlisi. The lists have no entry for 1881 to 1886. The last entries, from 1886 to 1890, name Sove as Sandık sarrafı, with no place.
