What the school was
A school of the Greek Orthodox (Rum) community. The Orthodox subjects of the empire, Greeks and also Orthodox Albanians and Arabs, formed the Rum millet under the Patriarchate at Fener, which also oversaw their education and publishing.
History
The Post and Telegraph ministry was the ministry of first appointment for 15 per cent of the Rum officials in the registers studied by Kırmızı, second after the Ministry of Finance.
