Life and register readings
Necib Bedreddin Efendi was born in Lebanençe in 1858/59 (AH 1275) into the İslam community; the father's occupation was "Ziraatçı". The schooling was at a school for young children (Sıbyan Mektebi).
At about 21, in 1879/80, Necib Bedreddin began work, on a first salary of 300 kuruş. The first annual entry, for 1879/80, names Necib Bedreddin as Mustafa Bey'in özel kâtibi, with no place. Alongside, the lists for 1887 to 1892 give a second post, in Servia as Muhasebe Kalemi stajyeri. Alongside, the lists for 1891 to 1896 give a second post, in Ankara as Vilayet Muhasebe Kalemi stajyeri. The lists have no entry for 1896 to 1898. Alongside, the lists for 1895/96 give a second post, in a post with no place named as Vilayet Muhasebe Kalemi Adliye Hesap kâtibi. The last posts were in Adana from 1898 to 1901 and Damascus (Şam) in 1902/03.
