Life and register readings
Yuvan Efendi was born in Ürgüp in 1874/75 (AH 1291). Work began in Üsküdar in 1888/89, at about 15. The first annual entry, for 1888/89, places Yuvan in Üsküdar as Bidayet mahkemesi kalemi mülazımı, where the entries run to 1896/97. Alongside, the lists for 1896/97 give a second post, in Sungurlu as Bidayet mahkemesi ikinci kâtipliği.
