Life and register readings
İbrahim Şevki Efendi was born in Malatya in 1848/49 (AH 1265) into the İslam community. Work began in 1870/71, at about 21. The first annual entry, for 1870/71, names İbrahim Şevki as stajyer, with no place. Alongside, the lists for 1876 to 1892 give a second post, in Akçadağ as tahrirat kâtibi. For 1892 to 1898 the lists have no entry. At the same time, from 1891 to 1901, the lists also place İbrahim Şevki in a post with no place named as Mal Muduru. Alongside, the lists for 1899 to 1901 give a second post, in Kâhta as Mal Muduru.
