Life and register readings
Born in Ibradi in 1845/46 (AH 1262), MEHMET RAġĠT EFENDĠ was the child of a deputy judge (naib). MEHMET RAġĠT EFENDĠ began work in Biga in 1867/68, at about 21, on a first salary of 416 kuruş. The first annual entry, for 1867/68, places MEHMET RAġĠT EFENDĠ in Biga as Mal Muduru, where the entries run to 1872/73. Alongside, the lists for 1872 to 1887 give a second post, in a post with no place named as Maliye Hazinesi mesarıfat muhasebesinde ücretsiz devam.
