Life and register readings
Muhyiddin Bey was born in Bursa in 1848/49 (AH 1265), into the İslam community, and the father's occupation was "Mülkiye kaymakamı". The schooling was at a school for young children (Sıbyan Mektebi).
At about 16, in 1864/65, Muhyiddin began work in Bursa. The annual lists begin in 1864/65, with Muhyiddin as Bursa tahrîrat kalemi (mülazemet) in Bursa, the birthplace, where the entries run to 1868/69. For 1865 to 1868 the lists have no entry.
