Life and register readings
HÜSEYİN HÜSNÜ EFENDİ (C) was born in Varna in 1860/61 (AH 1277); the father was a medrese teacher (müderris). At about 21, in 1881/82, HÜSEYİN HÜSNÜ (C) began work in Konya. The first annual entry, for 1881/82, places HÜSEYİN HÜSNÜ (C) in Konya as Aşar ve Ağnam Nezareti Dairesi mülazımı, where the entries run to 1883/84. Alongside, the lists for 1883 to 1896 give a second post, in a post with no place named as Reji İdaresi mahzen ve sandık eminliği muavini. HÜSEYİN HÜSNÜ (C) then moved to Karapinar in 1896/97. The last entries, from 1897 to 1902, name HÜSEYİN HÜSNÜ (C) as Memleha Merkez Müdürlüğü tezkire kâtibi, with no place. In place of a title the lists give İstifa (resignation) for 1884/85 and Infisal for 1895 to 1897.
The salary went from 250 kuruş a month in 1883/84 to 500 in 1900/01, the peak, when 55 per cent of paid officials earned less. The final annual entry is for 1901/02.
