Life and register readings
Yanko Efendi was born in Aleppo (Halep) in 1865/66 (AH 1282); the father's occupation was "Halep Vilayeti Hastanesi eczacıbaşısı". The schooling was at a special school (Mekteb-i Mahsusa).
