Life and register readings
The life of Mahmud Kemaleddin Bey began in Istanbul in 1865/66 (AH 1282); the father's occupation was "Divan-ı Hümayun Kalemi Ahkâm-ı Adliye mümeyyizi". Mahmud Kemaleddin began work in Istanbul in 1887/88, at about 22, on a first salary of 200 kuruş.
