Şakir Ağa

The life of Şakir Ağa began in Bosna in 1858/59 (AH 1275). Şakir studied at a school for young children (Sıbyan Mektebi). At about 28, in 1886/87, Şakir began work in Thessaloniki (Selanik), on a first salary of 150 kuruş. The annual lists begin in 1886/87, with Şakir as Rüsûmat müdüriyeti kolcusu in Thessaloniki, where the entries run to 1891/92.
