The life of İbrahim Efendi began in Kemaliye (Eğin) in 1852/53 (AH 1269). İbrahim studied at a school for young children (Sıbyan Mektebi). The first annual entry, for 1883/84, names İbrahim as Evrak Kalemi Kapı Çuhadarı (Nakil), with no place. For 1897 to 1909 the lists have no entry.
