Life and register readings
The life of Mehmet Adil Bey began in Şemahı in 1840/41 (AH 1256). At about 53, in 1893/94, Mehmet Adil began work in Istanbul, on a first salary of 150 kuruş. Of the 5,664 officials whose age at first work is known, 22 started at 53 or older.
