Life and register readings
İbrahim Rıza Efendi was born in Bursa in 1844/45 (AH 1260), into the İslam community. The schooling was at a school for young children (Sıbyan Mektebi).

Pay rose from 100 kuruş a month in 1863/64 to a peak of 1,500 in 1865/66, in Bitola, when 83 per cent of paid officials earned less. The last annual entry is for 1893/94.
