Life and register readings
The life of İsmail Hakkı Bey began in Harput in 1838/39 (AH 1254). İsmail Hakkı began work in 1859/60, at about 21. The first annual entry, for 1859/60, names İsmail Hakkı as Şer‘i niyabet, with no place. For 1862 to 1867 the lists have no entry. Next came Eğirdir and Yalvaç from 1867 to 1874. Alongside, the lists for 1875 to 1877 give a second post, in Düzce as a district governor (Kaymakam). Alongside, the lists for 1876/77 give a second post, in Gaza as Kaymakam vekili.
