Life and register readings
The life of Süleyman Sırrı Efendi began in Tirana (Tiran) in 1859/60 (AH 1276). Süleyman Sırrı began work in 1878/79, at about 19, on a first salary of 150 kuruş. The first annual entry, for 1878/79, names Süleyman Sırrı as Rüsûmat-ı Muamele Şubesi memuru, with no place. Next came Drama, Istanbul, Anamur and Carva, four places in ten years. For 1886 to 1888 the lists have no entry. Alongside, the lists for 1890 to 1892 give a second post, in a post with no place named as Rüsûmat İdaresi memuru.
