Life and register readings
The life of Mehmed Ali ġâfi‘î Efendi began in Mecca (Mekke) in 1854/55 (AH 1271); the father's occupation was "Harem-i Şerif mutavvıfı". The schooling was at a school for young children (Sıbyan Mektebi).
