Life and register readings
Mehmet Raşid Bey was born in Söke in 1846/47 (AH 1263). Work began in Izmir (İzmir) in 1862/63, at about 16. The first annual entry, for 1862/63, places Mehmet Raşid in Izmir as İzmir Eyalet Meclisi Tahrirat Kalemi mülazımı, where the entries run to 1878/79.
