Life and register readings
Born in Sivas in 1846/47 (AH 1263), Mehmet Sait Efendi came from the İslam community; the father's occupation was "Sadaret kavvası". Work began in Askeriye in 1863/64, at about 16. The annual lists begin in 1863/64, with Mehmet Sait as askeri hizmet in Askeriye. For 1864 to 1866 the lists have no entry. Next came Samsun in 1868/69. The last entries, from 1869 to 1878, name Mehmet Sait as memur (unvan belirtilmemiş), with no place. The lists have no entry for 1870 to 1875.
