Life and register readings
Born in Varna in 1872/73 (AH 1289), MEHMED ENVER EFENDİ was the child of a merchant (tüccar). At about 20, in 1892/93, MEHMED ENVER began work in Bandırma. The annual lists begin in 1892/93, with MEHMED ENVER as Duyûn-ı Umûmiye Merkez Müdürlüğü Tahrirat ve Muhasebe kalemleri mülazımı in Bandırma. MEHMED ENVER then moved to a post with no place named from 1894 to 1900. Alongside, the lists for 1894 to 1896 give a second post, in Bandırma as Duyûn-ı Umûmiye Merkez Nezareti mülazımı. In place of a title the lists give İstifa (resignation) for 1894/95.
